Jonathan Winters took over our studio today. He came to LAFX to do a spoken word session for our good client, Verne Langdon. We were grateful for the private show he gave the LAFX staff.

On August 18th, Jeremy Olson found these 2 newborn kittens on our patio. It was a 100 degrees in the valley and they had been abandonded by their mom. They weighed less than 4 ounces each. I bottle fed them every 2 hours for the next 4 days. Jolie Levine was able to take them and raise them until they are old enough to be adopted. We named them LA and FX. In this picture FX is the one on the bottom.

Greg Mathieson produced a project for David Roberts during August. Steve Sykes engineered the basic tracks and Chandler Harrod engineered the overdubs.

Davy Knowles of Back Door Slam is with us today doing vocal and guitar overdubs. Eddie Kramer is engineering. Eddie loves the veggie burgers from Eclectic Cafe.

I've just come home from a fantastic trip to Barcelona, Spain. We had a foodie adventure at Ferran Adria's fabulous El Bulli Restaurant. Bobby Mcferrin will be performing with the NDR orchestra and NDR big band for the next two weeks in Europe with Dan Vicari as sound engineer.

More video game music today. Pete Doell of Universal Mastering is mixing music today for a video game called Rock Band. Pete brought me a jar of homemade apricot jam. It is delicious, I took it home to have on a fresh roll for breakfast. Chandler Harrod assisted Pete.

Our favorite engineer , Tommy Vicari is in the studio today. He is mixing music for a new video game, Golden Compass, to be released shortly. Tommy and his clients had an early dinner from Eclectic Cafe.

Today, we have Eddie Kramer in the studio mixing new tunes for Leroy Powell. Dave Mattix is assisting. The good food from 'Full of Life' is for lunch.
Dan Vicari is in Washington DC mixing front of house for Bobby Mcferrin at a benefit concert for the Thelonius Monk Institute of Jazz.
